Product Certification:
Product certification or product qualification is the process of certifying that a certain product has passed performance tests and quality assurance tests, and meets qualification criteria stipulated in contracts, regulations, or specifications (sometimes called “certification schemes” in the product certification industry).
Most product certification bodies (or product certifiers) are accredited to or aligned with ISO/IEC 17065 Conformity assessment — Requirements for bodies certifying products, processes and services (previously ISO/IEC Guide 65:1996)[1] an international standard for ensuring competence in those organizations performing product, process and service certifications. The organizations that perform this accreditation are called Accreditation Bodies, and they themselves are assessed by international peers against the ISO 17011 standard.
Examples of some certification schemes include the Safety Equipment Institute for protective headgear, the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Telecommunication Certification Body (TCB) program for radio communication devices, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Energy Star program, the International Commission on the Rules for the Approval of Electrical Equipment Product Safety Certification Body Scheme (IEECE CB Scheme), MAS (Materials Analytical Services) Certified Green IEQ program, and the Greenguard Environmental Institute Indoor Air Quality program. Certification schemes are typically written to include both the performance test methods that the product must be tested to, as well as the criteria that the product must meet to become Certified.[3]

Product Certification works in the following way for export/import items:
- Some items are certified by manufacturer for some specific uses and type of uses the item was manufactured for.
- Other certification for achieved by hiring or get the items tested by authorities of that certain certification. These kind of certification is done by the authorities of the certification company with the product that the certification is required. This kind of certification is mostly valid per batch/order of item.
- Some certifications require the facilities where the item is made to have some certain certification to issue the product certificate of being compliant.
- Some certification are not available by manufacture, country or is not accepted by customs or authorities of importer country. In this case, the customer has to get the item imported and get the product tested from the certification authority on his/her own.
This method is most recommended as in this method the certification is 100% accepted by importer local authorities and have less than 1 % percent of chance of any issue rising for any the imported product.
Cost of certification:
Certification from manufacturer depends on the kind of certification what for type of product is being done. the cost of ordinary documents / certification is free. Special Test / certification have charges & cost that the customer will have to bear Separately from the cost of item.
time required for certification:
All certification have different requirements for certification and the certification company also has some policies for time they take to test and issue certificate. Which varies from certification authority to authority. Normal time is within 7 day but it can take more time may be 45 day depending the type of certification.
Certification required by importer country:
We do not know what Certification a country or state / city may require from the importer or manufacturer; as this Requirement are different across all countries/States/Cities internationally and are change time to time by the authorities. So when the customer in ordering he/she should inform us about his/her requirement so that we apply for the certification of product or any necessary step to be taken by us are initiated. We will also add / inform the customer of the charges if any.
Normal Certification or documentation is free.
when & How can Customer/importer ask for certification?
Customer has to inform us during the ordering process and before we start processing as we have to fulfill some requirement for certain certification*.
If the certification is ordinary where the product does not have to go thorough extra steps; in case customer forgot to inform us in start of order than customer can also inform us before we hand over the product to shipment company as long as the product is on our premises. We, Will, be able to add for free** but once the product Order package has left our premises then we cannot do much and the extra certification or documents will be charged with a fee of shipment and any other charges applicable which the customer has to bear.
* all items have some special certification requirements. Most are already fulfilled by us but some certification have extra steps or in some case we have to submit application weeks before they issue us certification or in some other cases the complete package has to go through the certification authority which can take days or longer.
** by normal or free certification we mean the certification that we issue on regular basis or certification that is always added by us for certain item. This free certification is not available for all items.
